Position Overview
At XTEL, we are seeking an experienced Cloud and DevOps Engineer with a passion for scripting and coding into the development aide to improve the planning, testing, and deployment process. DevOps Engineer manage/perform deployments of applications and infrastructure updates and are also in charge of effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Also participates in technical research and development to improve performance and security for the client's PaaS cloud environment. Working with outstanding technology and closely cooperating with database programmers, analysts, or system administrators, you will communicate across different tech departments, anticipating their needs and understanding how they work together to fill in technology gaps with professional care
Key Responsibilities
Ensure highly available, resilient, maintainable systems to support our business growth model, in particular: Automation, Monitoring, Continuous Integration, and Delivery.
Develop and implement automated provisioning solutions for applications and infrastructure. · Provision and maintain cloud infrastructures in Azure.
Design, implement, and maintain Identity Provider (IdP) integrations including Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Okta, ensuring secure and seamless authentication and authorization across systems.
Manage Single Sign-On (SSO), federated identity, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configurations across enterprise environments.
Provide operational and system expertise to software delivery teams.
Resolve issues reported via Service Desk systems.
Optimize information access and server infrastructure performance and integrity.
Maintain documentation including server build docs, configuration standards, infrastructure architecture.
Develop corrective action plans and Root Cause Analysis documents for both internal and client distribution.
Executing closely activities for automating and streamlining infrastructure operations and DevOps processes.
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations leveraging the latest technologies including Agentic AI.
Ensure that the technical environment is properly monitored and correctly used and the timely resolution of technical issues.
Identify system performance issues and oversee the development and correct use of tools to resolve these problems.
Support & maintain both customer-facing production environments as well as QA and Development environments.
Report & manage risk in line with ISO 27001 controls.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Qualifications
A great candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in technical/STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) field or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in this role.
Understanding of various DevOps tools for developing digital pipelines.
Experience building scripts, tooling, and automation for computing environments.
Capability of specifying, designing, and/or implementing system health, performance monitoring tools.
Knowledge of Cloud platforms and preferably Azure including but not limited to Azure Kubernetes Services, Log Analytics, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Storage accounts, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid expertise with Identity Providers (IdPs), including Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace Identity, and Okta — covering SSO, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, Auth0 protocols.
Experience managing user lifecycle, directory synchronization, and role-based access control (RBAC) across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Knowledge of Entra ID and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Knowledge of Terraform and Terragrunt.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server would be a plus.
Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS and understanding of all layers of a web services technology stack.
Knowledge of AI concepts, Python and Azure Foundry would be a plus.
Experience with Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Conditional Access policies would be a plus.
Knowledge of FinOps practices would be a plus.
Solid technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Creative thinking attitude with a strong customer focus.
Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Ability to partner with internal Customer teams to drive improvements and drive goals and prioritization.
Fluent English.
