Position Overview
XTEL is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Administration Intern to join our Global Payroll & HR Admin Team in Bologna, Italy.
In this role, you will support the team in day-to-day payroll and HR administrative activities, gaining hands-on experience in personnel administration, HR data management, payroll processes, and employee lifecycle activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, grow in an international environment, and build solid foundations in HR Administration and Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
Support in personnel administration activities (contracts, documentation, digital filing)
Data entry, update, and verification in HR systems (employee records, contractual changes, reporting)
Support in payroll activities
Management and monitoring of HR documentation (hiring, terminations, extensions, contract changes)
Monitoring and control of timesheets (holidays, sick leave, parental leave, maternity and paternity leave)
Support in onboarding activities (documentation preparation, welcoming new hires) and offboarding
Participation in HR projects (process digitalization, procedure improvement, system implementation)
Qualifications
Education
Degree in Law, Economics, Human Resources, Labour Law or a related field or currently enrolled in one of these areas.
Experience
Strong interest in Payroll, HR Administration, and Labour Law, with motivation to learn and grow in these areas.
Any previous internship, project work, or academic experience related to HR or administration is a plus, but not mandatory.
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of Excel.
Interest in HR or payroll tools and digital systems is a plus.
Soft Skills
Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage different tasks with accuracy.
Language Skills
Good knowledge of Italian and English.
