Position Overview
XTEL is actively seeking a highly analytical and motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving data-informed decision making, in building intuitive easy to use financial models, and in supporting our strategic initiatives across the organization. You will have the chance to work closely with senior management, providing key insights for revenue growth and performance improvement in a constantly evolving industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Follow the monthly finance timetable to ensure all deadlines are met and support timely reporting of information.
• Conduct thorough variance analysis and reconcile discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of forecasts and performance reporting.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, including the monthly management reporting pack, board deck and any ad hoc analysis, collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance and provide actionable recommendations.
• Financial planning: Manage cashflow & Lender reports. Manage cash forecasting, liquidity, and performance targets; monitor debt covenant compliance and prepare related calculations and certificates, in accordance with debt agreements)
• Provide management with a full understanding on their department spend and provide insightful information on where they can become more efficient or make the most productive use of their spend.
• Support the scoping and implementation of AI within the department and with operations to improve PowerBI or Qlik reporting to provide readily available informative information.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications
A great candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or related roles.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and related software (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
• Ability to analyse large data sets and create automated reports which you then analyse using your business knowledge to recommend actions to various Departments.
• PE experience preferred, but not essential.
• Basic understanding of SaaS metrics and experience in the consumer goods or technology industry are a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Confident communicator, being able to present findings to key stakeholders
