Senior Director Solution Engineering
As a leader of the Solutions team, you lead a team that helps sell our best-in-class TPM, RGM & Analytics platform to the world’s leading consumer goods companies. The primarily responsible for navigating enterprise sales of our SAAS solution. Technically savvy, you are as comfortable in discovery, architecture sessions, pre-sale workshops, and demo building as they are pitching strategy, vision, and value to executive audiences. You understand the sales cycle, customer personas and relationships, and partner closely with their sales reps to strategize and close deals. Once the deal is closed, they you and your team will partner with the delivery team in the background to facilitate success through implementation and go-live, ensuring a cohesive experience and rapid time to value for new customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record supporting 6 to 7 figure deals and preparing enterprise proposals, as well as a strong technical skill set in enterprise architecture and data to succeed in this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Become an expert in customer use-cases and the Xtel SAAS solution, and understand the value and vision that we bring to our clients, CPG experience is preferred
• Qualify and sell consultatively to prospects, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor during the sales process
• Sell the customer’s on the future vision and business alignment to Xtel’s product capabilities
• Craft sophisticated enterprise proposals that will win competitive sales situations
• Respond to RFPs and RFIs, working closely with Sales to align on pre-qual strategy
• Solicit and document project scope / requirements / timelines – engaging the Professional Services team as necessary
• Lead POVs as required and scoped to win deals
• Remove technical blockers throughout the sales process in an efficient manner
• Provide technical guidance on integrations, data management, APIs, reporting and analytics, and 3rd party integrations
• Support trade events and shows
• Ruthlessly seek out areas of improvement to make the Solution team more capable
• Provide feedback to Solutions team and peers, as well as product managers, services, and engineering to drive ongoing strategy and product direction
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven track record closing 6/7 figure deals, SaaS experience preferred
• Skilled at selling to prospects at all levels of the business, up to and including C-suite
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Historical experience delivering complex projects / software on or before time or experience as a Developer / Software / Data Engineer
• Experience with Data and data storage, ideally:
o Large / complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
o Analytics architecture and infrastructure.
o Familiarity with physical and relational data modelling / SQL
o Understanding of Azure ETL and Data Storage technologies (e.g., Data Lakes, Data Bricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory)
o Accustomed to working with distributed version control systems (GIT, DevOps)
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Strong Consulting skills and ability to act as a trusted advisor to our customers
• Self-motivated, collaborative, responsible, and passionate about exceeding client expectations
• Effective communicator both internally and externally
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively in ambiguous environments
• Outstanding asynchronous and remote communications skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts with ease and in the simplest manner possible to any type of audience (technical through non-technical)
• Ability to engage different teams while driving towards project success
