Position Overview

Join XTEL as a DevOps Engineer, where you'll be integral to crafting advanced analytical products and capabilities. You'll be responsible for gathering requirements, designing, implementing, and overseeing development, while ensuring smooth deployment and monitoring in production. Collaborate with development teams and product managers to innovate software solutions, build essential automations, and design reliable infrastructure, ensuring our deployed installations are responsive and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate on the development of advanced analytical products/capabilities;

• Gather requirements, designing and implementing the product/capabilities, overseeing the development, deploying, and monitoring the application in production;

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions;

• Build automations that a professional software needs;

• Design infrastructure on which our products will run;

• Check health of deployed installations to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

A great candidate will have:

 • 2+ years of experience as DevOps or SRE roles; 

• Good understanding of containerization principles and knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes; 

• Knowledge of some scripting language (Bash or Python preferred), strong experience with git;

• Have a background as a software developer; 

• Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines preferrably using Azure Pipelines (yaml definition);

• Ability to develop a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation, and deployment tasks;

• Great analytical skills, critical thinking and collaborative behavior;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills:

• Passion for learning and continuous improvement. 

Nice to have:

• Experience with public cloud providers (Azure preferred);

• Experience with different Azure services (like Batch, Storage Account, AKS, ACR, Application Insights, Functions);

• Good knowledge of SQL, preferably PostgreSQL and psql. • Knowledge of Python, Typescript and Angular.

Location Preferences:

Our headquarters is located in Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna, and we offer hybrid work arrangements. While we prioritize candidates who are based in Bologna and the surrounding areas for hybrid work, we are open to considering other options on a case-by-case basis.
